Prism Sound’s test measuring equipment was created out of a need to monitor the increasingly complicated processes that are being implemented in the field of digital audio. Some engineers rely on conventional analogue equipment, used with A/D and D/A converters, to test digital systems. This often obscures the true behavior of the device under test, but more importantly precludes many otherwise simple and useful tests; for example bit-for-bit checking of accuracy in a recording or transmission.
